I’m so happy to say Laura Ashley Instagram takeover was a huge success! I wanted to thank you for popping over to their account to lend your support, I’m so grateful for all the likes and lovely comments. I was pretty pleased with the pictures I took, so I thought I’d share them over here too, as they’re like a mini house tour. Thank you having me back Laura Ashley!
One of my favourite pictures from this collection, is the last one. This was formerly a bit of a dumping ground to the side of my summerhouse, with a crumbling flint wall at the back. Last year my Dad and I repaired the wall (in the rain largely, it was not an enjoyable experience!), and I gradually cleared the rubbish and clutter. I bought some sacks of pea gravel to fill the gaps, and gradually populated this little nook with furniture and of course, hydrangeas.
On Friday my darling baby girl is going to be twelve years old. Twelve!! I need to get my baking mojo going, as she has requested a homemade cake, and my baking skills are a little rusty! We are hiring a boat on the Norfolk Broads for a couple of hours on Friday with two of her friends, and then I am taking her for our annual trip to Latitude festival in Suffolk. I haven’t quite got my head round the fact that we will be camping this weekend, so no doubt there will be some frantic rummaging in the attic for sleeping bags and equipment. All part of the fun!
I’m pretty excited, as I’ve finally taken action and set the wheels in motion for a newsletter which you can sign up for. I will of course announce it when it’s ready, but I’m looking forward to putting some exclusive images and news together every month or so for those who sign up.
My summerhouse got a lot of love from the picture above over at Laura Ashley, did you see my recent Summerhouse Makeover post (in association with AXA)? You can see it here if you fancy a peek, it really is like having another room to decorate and style up, I love it!
Have a wonderful day!
